The “plantae” Kingdom under Eukarya

The plantae kingdom consists of plant cells, green algae cells, and multi-cellular organisms made from these two types of cells. Plant and green-algae cells are characterized by cell walls made of cellulose, chloroplasts, and large central vacuoles. The chloroplasts are essential for photosynthesis.

Green algae falls under the plantae taxonomic kingdom. Good examples of green algae are: Chlorophyta and Charophyta.
